AIF Opens Trading with a Gong
- 20th Anniversary Celebrations Continue at the Amsterdam Stock Exchange
In 2008, NYSE Euronext revived an old stock exchange tradition and every trading day the gong is sounded in the NYSE Euronext Stock Exchange in Amsterdam to mark the opening and closing of the trading session in Europe.
Many distinguished guests have already participated in the gong ceremony, including international politicians, CEOs of companies listed on the exchange, Olympic medal winners as well as other prominent individuals and organizations.
In honor of AIF's 20th Anniversary, AIF management and staff were invited by NYSE Euronext to open trading on June 29.
AIF Managing Director, Brenda Childers had the honor of sounding the gong as the clock struck 09:00. AIF management and staff were there to insure a timely "gong" and were joined by special guests, including alumni and current participants, to toast AIF's 20th year during a champagne breakfast.
