As the banking world is shifting from a fixation for growth to a concern for long-term sustainable value creation and risk control, knowledge of Asset & Liability Management is becoming a necessity for all bankers accountable for profits. ALM is a tool that ensures that decision making, risk-taking and performance evaluation are consistent with the corporate objectives set by senior management and the board, and the regulatory constraints imposed by central banks (Basel 2/Basel 3/Basel 4).
This program discusses the control of long-term value creation and risks. Participants completing this course will, for example, be able to understand advanced fund transfer pricing, allocate capital to business units, develop key-performance indicators, understand the benefits of securitization, evaluate liquidity and interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB), and understand regulatory proposals to build a more resilient banking system.
The training is offered as a 3-day program.
